The Central Florida Bone and Joint Institute team is excited to offer Telemedicine to our patients. We will make your appointment as stress free as possible. Just as if you were in the office, a member of our scheduling team will call you, confirm your insurance information, and walk you through the check-in process. We will obtain your permission to treat you via telemedicine. Next, one of our clinical team members will perform an initial assessment and make sure your IT equipment is connected to our telemedicine service provider. Once you are connected, you will begin your visit with the same top-rated orthopedic providers that you would normally see in any of our orthopedic office locations in Orange City and Lake Mary.
No. Telemedicine appointments are available for all new patient evaluations anywhere in Florida.
Most insurance companies recognize and cover telemedicine services. Before you schedule an appointment, call the number on the back of your insurance card to find out if your specific policy covers telemedicine service. If there is a fee for the convenience of a telemedicine visit according to your insurance plan, this will be collected before your visit. After your visit, this practice will submit a claim to your insurance company just as we do when you visit the office.
Yes. Our self-pay consultation fee is $75 for a new patient and $50 for an established patient. For self-pay patients, if the appointment results in an in-person visit or surgery, the amount paid will be applied toward any costs incurred for the in-person visit or surgery.
